Dear Brothers,

Many of you have reached out to me over the last several weeks asking about our plans for this summer’s AEPi International Convention scheduled to be held in Atlanta.

Unfortunately, the many uncertainties and dangers of the current situation have made it impossible to commit to holding a large-scale event with hundreds of alumni and undergrads flying in from all over the world. As always, our overriding concern must be for the safety and health of our Brothers and guests.

Therefore, we have made the difficult decision not to hold our International Convention in Atlanta this summer. We are still considering alternatives for a smaller, more focused event to be held in another location or conducting a completely virtual event. My staff and I are working overtime to plan both the safest and most impactful experience possible.

Our highly acclaimed and important Summer Leadership Series of undergraduate programs – the Michael A. Leven Advanced Leadership Institute and the Hineni Jewish Identity Enrichment Conference – will be conducted virtually for accepted undergraduate Brothers. If you are interested in learning more about these programs and registering for them, please visit our website and fill out your application on MyAEPi.

Our Jewish traditions teach us that every decision we make should be informed by the lessons of the Torah. I firmly believe that, while painfully difficult for us, choosing to best protect our Brothers and their families is the right decision at this time.

I hope to provide you with more information about our alternative summer plan by the beginning of June. Please take care of yourselves, your Brothers and your families.
